Tim Myrick, meD, LPC, ncc

We have a choice in dealing with these problems; confront and grow from the experience, or rely on past unsuccessful behavior.

The small problems are often easy to handle, it’s  the bigger issues that can be harder to deal with. I have based my counseling approach on problems becoming an opportunity for transformation.

By addressing the counter-productive beliefs that drive thoughts and behaviors, my clients find solutions that lead to an improved quality of life.

In life, we are all presented

with problems.

My expertise includes focusing on relieving the symptoms of depression, anxiety, loss and bereavement. The unique challenges associated with the gay and lesbian community, such as the coming out process, sexual identity issues, and helping couples develop stronger relationships are an important part of my work. Working with people affected by chronic illness such as cancer, HIV/AIDS, and end of life challenges, including caregivers, is also a significant aspect of my practice.

Before becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Board Certified Counselor, I spent 12 years in the corporate world developing a strong goal-oriented approach to both work and life.
